FAQ
The most common questions about time tracking and Lewelab HR.
Yes, in Spain. Since May 2019 every company must record each employee’s start and end time every day (art. 34.9 of the Workers’ Statute) and keep those records for 4 years, available to employees, their representatives and the Labour Inspectorate.
Yes, from the phone’s or computer’s browser, with nothing to install. The Android app is also on its way: it saves the punch even without signal and sends it when the connection is back.
Only at the moment of clocking in from the mobile app, never in the background or when working remotely. If the employee doesn’t give permission, they can still clock in. It’s used to let you know if someone clocks in far from their site, not to track them.
The employee requests them from the app, with a supporting document if needed, and the admin approves or rejects them. Balances update automatically, with days carried over from the previous year and each site’s holiday calendar.
An Excel or CSV file for the month, with the cut-off day you choose and each person’s payroll code. You can also download each employee’s monthly summary as a PDF.
You create a read-only link with an expiry date and a 6-digit code sent separately. It lets them view and download the records in PDF or Excel. Every access is logged and you can revoke it whenever you like.
Yes. One account can hold several companies, work sites and job sites. One person can belong to several companies with a different role in each, which is very useful for accounting firms handling several clients.
